After the coldest winter on record, residential customers looking to reduce the big natural gas bill from Bord Gais that’s just landed with a thud in their letterbox should change to Flogas Natural Gas, which is currently offering natural gas at 9% cheaper than Bord Gais.
Savvy residential customers have already noticed that splitting their gas and electricity between two providers will actually net them a double discount.
If residential customers move their gas to Flogas Natural Gas, they will get the 9% discount and still be eligible for a 10-12% discount on their electricity bill from Bord Gais.
Residential customers who choose to have both gas and electricity with Bord Gais will get a discount off their electricity bill only. Bord Gais cannot give a reduction on their natural gas prices as these are fixed by the Commission for Energy Regulation.
Flogas is currently the only competitor to Bord Gais is the residential natural gas market. They will continue to be 9% cheaper than Bord Gais until the next review of natural gas prices by the Commission for Energy Regulation (CER), currently set for September 2010. Flogas Natural Gas provides natural gas to both residential and commercial customers.
