Co. Dublin, Ireland — 02 Nov. 2009

Three excellent musicians representing three rather distinct musical milieus have met to perform together their own music inspired by the works of Witold Lutosławski, an uncompromising composer of his own personal musical idiom.
The motives from selected works by Witold Lutosławski are being interpreted live on the stage. Some comments by Lutosławski are also sampled into the programme.
The musicians have based their programme on the following works: Bucolics (1952, arr. 1962), Concerto for Orchestra (1954), Sacher Variation (1975), Concerto for Cello and Orchestra (1970), Two Studies (1941).
The effect is a new musical quality within which Możdżer, Bunio and Bauer show themselves to be highly flexible and substantially detached from their earlier accomplishments.
LUTOSPHERE was acclaimed as sensational, excellent and ultramodern.
“In 2008 Leszek Możdżer, Andrzej Bauer and m.Bunio.s recorded Witold Lutosławski’s compositions. Presently they listen to their work, scratch their chins and nod seriously in time with the vanguard sounds (uncompromising of course). The production will last till the end of the year. Nobody knows exactly which year they mean.”
