William was announced as the outright winner and awarded Gold Medals for his Traditional Sausage at the Association of Craft Butchers of Ireland annual awards in the RDS, Dublin on September 29th. This prestigious award attracts entries from all over Ireland and the competition is fierce for these coveted endorsements of quality. Butchers must win the regional title to be eligible to compete at National level.
The Morgan family have been making sausages for over 70 years and are no strangers to awards. Since 2003, their traditional; sausages and black and white puddings have been entered in the ACBI annual awards five times with huge and consistent success; they have been runner-up twice and this is their third all-Ireland title!
