The Tote is delighted to announce a landmark partnership with Down Royal Racecourse to enhance Down Royal’s Tote betting facilities. The new service is to be launched on March 17th. As part of this initiative, bets such as the Jackpot and Placepot will be made available to punters across Ireland and the UK, for race meetings in Down Royal.
Alexis Murphy, Chief Executive, Tote Ireland said “We are delighted to be adding Down Royal to the growing number of Irish, UK and International Race Meetings that our customers can bet into. We have adopted a new operating model where Down Royal will retain responsibility for its racecourse Tote operations whilst we will make betting into Down Royal available to all of our customers and betting partners. This new structure will be of great benefit to the racecourse and to the Tote”.
Mike Todd, General Manager of Down Royal Racecourse said “We have made a significant investment in our Tote facilities which will represent a considerable improvement in service for our customers, particularly in terms of the availability of a handheld betting service in our hospitality areas. With new bet types as well as betting from the Tote and its partners, we expect significant growth in our pools.”
Tote Ireland are also delighted to announce the appointment of Jim Nicholson (Chairman of Down Royal Racecourse and HRI Board Member) and Pat Garvey (Horse-Owner and Breeder) to the board of Tote Ireland. Jim Nicholson will assume the position of Vice-Chairman.
